About me

I am a journalist and passionate videographer—both a profession and a calling that brings me great joy, as they constantly allow me to meet inspiring people and discover fascinating places. In addition, I have been working for more than nine years as a media, video, and social media manager for the humanitarian organization CARE, where I strive to raise awareness of forgotten crises and humanitarian issues through storytelling and strategic communications.

Over the years, I have produced hundreds of interviews, photo stories, films, videos, and social media stories (e.g. WDR, ZDF or DW) across a wide range of international topics. Alongside my editorial and visual work, I have also conducted many media and interview trainings for NGO staff, colleagues, spokespersons, and communication teams, helping participants strengthen their communication skills, prepare for media appearances, and communicate confidently in interviews, videos, and digital formats.

I also work as a trainer in video journalism, with a particular focus on the potential of smartphone-based production tools. I enjoy sharing my experience through workshops and practical training sessions on storytelling, video production, interviewing, and digital communication.

My greatest passion and skill is video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro. My greatest challenge: speaking, reading, and properly understanding Arabic—hopefully one day.
